(Archive) To make a Chair

Drawn without any guidance and without any context rather than just “to draw a chair”.

My attempt is to create 3d real size models referring to the sketches as
design objects with two purposes. First to narrate the story that is told by
the child with this creation so the viewer can see the child in the chair
and the infinite creativity that brinks, and the second purpose is to
narrate the story of me as an artist/designer that came from creating
for pleasure -as a child- to a complicated system and the struggles of
figuring costs, aesthetics, advertising, purposes, networks and many
more parameters in order to comply -or not- with the object fetishism
that is dominating, influencing and maybe killing our creativity and
shaping our design practises…
Alongside the chairs that will be showed, with the original description
by the children, I will create through the week one final chair which will
be done based on a sketch made by a child visiting the exhibition.
