UniK is a tête-à -tête table consisting of two tables that need each other to remain standing and at the same time be separate (unique). Just as in relationship we are both 'we' and 'you and me'. A conceptual story, about autonomy and connectedness, that is supported by its construction.
About autonomy and connectedness
How can you, in connection with the other, distinguish yourself? This gave rise to the idea of designing a table consisting of two tables that are connected to each other and at the same time separate. Due to the shape and position of the legs, both tables need each other in order to stand. The clearly defined contours and the rotation of the two table tops in relation to each other make the two stand out from each other.
