Mission Days

This year, Dutch Design Week introduces Mission Days. From Monday, 21 October to Friday, 25 October, Dutch Design Week will host a curated programme around various missions, aiming to facilitate relevant encounters between participating designers and professional visitors.

The Mission Days feature a curated programme with contributions from our professional network of partners, participants, and other relevant parties. Each day consists of three segments where deepening, inspiring, and marvelling converge:

  • Morning Sessions
A morning programme with substantial events for professionals at Natlab, Eindhoven.

  • Afternoon Tours
An afternoon programme with undivided attention for the DDW exhibitions by related participating designers through an organised tour or self-discovery with a list of tips and highlights.

  • DDW at Night
An evening programme full of music, dinners, surprising events, and more.

Each weekday during Dutch Design Week will focus on a different mission.

Monday, 21 October | LIVING ENVIRONMENT

Designing our living environment, mobility and the materials we use to create them goes hand-in-hand with shaping our own quality of life.

Tuesday, 22 October | VITAL PLANET

For a vital, healthy planet, design must enhance the power of nature, or at the very least not stand in its way.

Wednesday, 23 October | DIGITAL FUTURE

Our digital realities and future are being explored to the full and influenced by designers, from virtual worlds to artificial intelligence and from global platforms to individual experiences.

Thursday, 24 October | HEALTH & WELL-BEING

Designs that structurally improve our quality of life – from the food we eat to healthcare and personal well-being – and that contribute to the most precious thing we have: our health.

Friday, 25 October | EQUAL SOCIETY

To achieve equality in society, we must (re)design systems and interactions that value everyone. Safety, inclusiveness and connection are key here.
