What happens when you bring 16 creative students together in a single space for ten days?
Shed the Skin
The result is "Shed the Skin," an exhibition that captures the essence of collaboration, experimentation, and creativity. Hosted at The Glassroom, a multipurpose space for students from Design Academy Eindhoven and Sint Lucas, the exhibition showcases the talents of second-year students from the Fundamental course and those from SintLucas's Ó’6 department.
Over the course of ten days, the students worked intensively to co-create every aspect of the exhibition—from its content and set design to its visual presentation. Under the guidance of tutors René Siebum and Pieter van Klaveren, they faced the challenge of working under tight deadlines, pushing the limits of their creativity and collaboration skills. The project required an agile mindset, risk-taking, and the ability to seamlessly blend individual strengths into a cohesive vision.
"Shed the Skin" offers a spatial experience featuring paper sculptures, projected artworks, and a selection of works from Mieke Meijer’s Fundamental course Sheet Goods. This exhibition stands as a testament to the power of collective creativity and the transformative potential of working together.
