Facet Open Composition — Designed to be changed
Facet Open Composition — Designed to be changed
Bart Roos Photography
The designers make the first move. What happens next is up to you. Rotate a facet, explore what changes and leave a composition for the next visitor to continue.

One surface, endless compositions

Hundreds of individually rotating facets form a spatial installation. Each facet rotates 360 degrees and has a different colour on either side. A single turn changes how colour and light meet, what you can see through the surface and how the pattern takes shape.

The installation begins with a composition created by the designers. From that moment, they give up control of its arrangement. Visitors can make a small adjustment or transform a whole section. Every change becomes part of a collective composition that evolves throughout Dutch Design Week.

Open or closed. Subtle or graphic. Ordered or unexpected. There is no final composition.

Designed to be changed.
